Job description

1. Prepare Material requisition list for mobilization of Pipelay barge.

2. Liaise with the Installation Engineers onshore on operational matters during preparatory phase, mobilization and during installation phase

3. Ensure the Installation Engineer and Installation Manager receives regular status updates on the progress of work. (Every 6 hrs. in Offshore)

4. Ensure the work is planned and executed according to procedures, and liaise with the offshore Superintendent on the technical requirements of the project.

5. Shall handle pipelay barge one shift single handedly.

6. Provide technical support during offshore execution and shall always put more effort to perform work in safe and efficient way.

7. For minor site changes on pipelay barge setting parameter, candidate shall be able to perform off pipe analysis to ensure pipeline stress are withing acceptable range. OR communicate the changes to installation engineering team and perform the changes as required by installation engineering team

8. Shall prepare pipeline report, tally sheet and prepare pipeline summary sheet incorporating installation inputs.

9. Ensure timely submission of subcontractor inputs / reports. Verification and approval of subcontractor reports and timesheet.

10. Provide Input and feedback to improve departmental standards, working methods and guidelines.

11. Contribute ideas and take part in the Pipelay barge mobilization activities.

12. Prepare shift plan and convey to foreman during shift meeting.

13. Stakeholder engagement with all sub-contractor on a daily basis.

14. Mobilize Pipelay installation vessel with all required resources.

15. Participate in HAZID / HIRA.

16. Responsible for appraisal and follow up of sub-contractors.

17. Coordinating with Sub-contractor and Client Operations team to ensure safe and smooth execution of planned activities.

18. Participate in development of task risk evaluation/assessments and obtain Permit to Work from Client Operations team.

19. Perform barge & stinger roller setting as per approved installation engineering manual.

20. Monitor and report all pipelay parameter.

21. Overall responsibility and ownership for Safety, Quality, and Schedule of execution of pipelay activities.

22. Prepare and follow-up of master document register and sub-contractor document register within project.

23. Prepare and provide input to installation engineer change order (for Subcontractor / COMPANY).

24. Participate and co-ordinate specific trials and offshore / onshore operations, as required.

25. Witness function testing of supplier equipment.

26. Supervise the implementation revision, follow-up of overall equipment mobilization list and ensure delivery on site as per schedule.

Skill Required :

1. In depth Knowledge in offshore pipelay.

2. Conversant with International standards.

3. Ability to work within time/budget and strict deadline constraints.

4. Ability to evaluate, organize and prioritize work for self and others in order to meet set deadlines.

5. Should possess good knowledge of different pipelay vessels.

6. Good site management skill and smart working methods.

7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8. Ability to work within multi-cultural team
