The Opportunity: Fire Officer
Location : Barmer ( Rajasthan )
Experience : 8-10 Years
Overview:
- The primary role of Fire CHIEF is to lead the emergency response team in the event of fire and other emergencies.
- Implement Maintenance and testing schedule of all the fire fighting equipment and systems.
- Ensure state of readiness of fire fighting and emergency response equipment.
- Ensure Emergency responders are adequately trained, and refresher training is conducted to maintain the state of readiness.
Qualification & Experience: Candidate should have degree or diploma in Fire and safety engineering or BSC in Fire from an recognized educational institution having more than 8 years of experience in Refinery / Oil & Gas processing industry.
Key knowledge & experience criteria:

Key knowledge & experience criteria:
- Good knowledge of National & International Codes and standards related to fire protection and prevention.
- Aware of international Best practices in fire prevention and mitigation.
- Sounds hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of Fire Equipment
- Sound knowledge of working and operations of Multipurpose Fire Tender
- Reasonable knowledge about the Automobile part of Fire Tender
- Proficient in use of computer applications.
- Experience in conducting Fire training and design of various Fire training modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide Emergency response team, provide equipment backup in order to ensure effective emergency response and search rescue.
- Ensure compliance to application mines regulations and OISD standards
- Provide fire fighting training programmes in order to develop competency and meet statutory requirements.
- Upkeeping of firefighting equipment and systems for availability all the time.
- Conduct in house fire fighting training programs, Participate in toolbox meetings in order to improve awareness on fire prevention and to institute safe working practices.
- Creating awareness among the contract workers on fire prevention, waste management and HSE related aspects.
- Implementation of inspection, preventive maintenance and testing schedule of firefighting equipment and systems. Carry out repairs and replacement of the equipment as and when required to ensure the availability of equipment and systems all the time.
Ensure timely procurement to maintain required inventory spares and fire-fighting
- Timely completion of Audit Recommendations and inspection points.
- Maintain and Edit the auditable records of inspection, maintenance and testing of equipment and systems.
- Maintain and Edit the inventory of the equipment and systems. Updating of the network drawings time to time
