Supply Chain Operations Manager

Location: Gurgaon - Udyog Vihar

Workdays: 6 days workweek from office

Experience Required: Minimum 8 - 10 years

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with in-depth knowledge of PESO regulations to join our team and drive our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Supply Chain Management:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals and comply with PESO regulations.

- Optimize procurement processes to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

2. PESO Compliance (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization):

- Ensure all supply chain operations adhere to the standards and regulations set by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO).

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PESO guidelines and incorporate them into the supply chain processes.

- Liaise with PESO authorities and ensure all required licenses, approvals, and inspections are obtained and maintained.

3. Supplier and Vendor Management:

- Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors across India to ensure they meet PESO standards and safety regulations.

- Negotiate margins with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and conditions.

- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality, compliant materials and services.

- Oversee and manage the payment process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.

4. Logistics and Inventory Management:

- Oversee the safe handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with PESO and other relevant regulations.

- Manage inventory levels to meet supply needs while minimizing costs and ensuring safety.

5. Risk Management:

- Identify potential risks in the supply chain related to safety, compliance, and operations, and develop mitigation strategies.

- Ensure that all supply chain activities, particularly those involving hazardous materials, are conducted safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the safety, operations, and legal teams to ensure supply chain activities are aligned with PESO compliance and overall business objectives.

- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance within the supply chain.

7. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, emphasizing the importance of safety, compliance, and efficiency.

- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team is well-versed in PESO regulations and best practices.

8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, with a focus on compliance, safety, cost-effectiveness, and margin optimization.

- Report on supply chain performance, highlighting areas of improvement and ensuring alignment with PESO standards.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. PESO certification is a plus.

- Experience: Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in supply chain management within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, with significant experience in PESO compliance.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of PESO regulations and compliance requirements.

- Proven experience in margin negotiation with suppliers and vendors across India.

- Experience in managing the procurement, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Leadership and team management capabilities.

- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.

Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
