Responsibilities :
- Responsible for vehicle-level projects inclusive of vehicle architecture & dynamics for 2/3 wheelers.
- Implementation of automotive fundamentals, and engineering calculations.
- Very good in designing & knowledge of Chassis systems, along with the FEA with CAE simulations.
- Good knowledge of material selection for chassis, swing arms, etc.
- Develop and build prototypes and run tests to measure their level of function.
- Working knowledge of fabrication techniques (including a variety of welding methods).
- Development of vehicle component mountings.
- Development of strategies for improving upon current models.
- Coordinate efforts with Testing teams to prepare and review DVT plans. Debug and resolve design/technical. Issues reported during DVT Execution.
- Lead and drive periodic DFMEA reviews. Demonstrate a focus on proactive screening of defects and timely implementation of control mechanisms to reduce RPN.
- Debug and close Design and/or Manufacturing process issues with appropriate RCA reports
- Meet Cost, Quality & Schedule goals for Programs/Projects.
- Carry out Benchmarking tests on competitor systems/subsystems and submit reports.
- Drive supplier interactions and technical workshops with component manufacturers.
- Minimize component diversity in designs.
- Work with Electrical and NPD teams to define manufacturing & test plans, review build reports, and implement corrective actions to enhance manufacturing cost, yield, and consistency.
- Support NPD during PPAP builds.
- Work with NPD & Electrical to support the Sustenance of designs in production.
- Represent team during reviews with Product Validation and Quality Teams, debug and resolve integration issues during product development.
- Demonstrate collaborative culture while staying committed to technical deliverables.
- Demonstrate compliance to corporate Values, Design & Developmental procedures as per the requirements of internal QS standards.
- Demonstrate compliance to corporate guidelines on Component Selection/derating.
- Demonstrate compliance to checklists/Templates during reviews on Design/Simulation, Schematic, IP, Safety, and Regulatory aspects of design.
- Utilizes the assigned resources, and has regular team meetings, reviews, and consultations (including with Senior Management & other advisors) as needed, in developing technology roadmaps and team capabilities.

- Educational Background and Skill Set needed to be phenomenal:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or a related field; a Master's would be a plus.
- Mandatory experience in 2W Chassis Design; 3W Chassis Design knowledge would be a plus
- Mandatory experience in Vehicle Design & Architecture for 2/3 wheelers; Vehicles Dynamics would be a plus.
- Mandatory experience in PLM platforms like Teamcenter, Windchill, Up Chain, etc.
- Mandatory experience in simulation software like Solid works, Autodesk, MSC Adams, Abacus, etc.
4-6 years of relevant work experience.
