Role Summary/Purpose :

The Lead Engineer will work on products catering to the Train Performance portfolio of GE Transportation's Digital Solutions business, which includes energy management products. This role will be responsible for design, modeling, and validation of subsystem components on projects of high/moderate complexity and effect both short-term and long-term business goals. In this role, you will focus on a subsystem design including risk/trade off analysis.

Essential Responsibilities :

In this role, you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of high/moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning, thereby effecting short-term and some long-term business goals.

In this role, you will :

- Develop a subsystem through design specifications, failure modes and effect analysis, DFSS Scorecard, and system validation specifications

- Be part of Agile teams focused on delivering outcomes to customers

- Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers

- Execute the analysis, design, test, or integration required to meet business standards and program / product requirements

- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives

- Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business

- Share engineering information and promote open dialogue

- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks

- Identify & improve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within sub-systems

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation from reputed Institute/college/University

- 6 to 10 years of experience in an engineering position of Systems engineering, Control system design, Reliability engineering

- Aerospace / automotive / locomotive hands-on domain knowledge

- Experience in MATLAB / Simulink for simulation and mathematical modeling

- Experience in AGILE Software development and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
