GE - Manufacturing Specialist I - Production Supervision (3-8 yrs)
Qualification - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
- Having basic knowledge of doing the Winding Assembly of 660 MW & above Generator
- Winding & Assembly Process knowledge along with the special tooling required for the process.
- Ability to understand Engineering drawings for manufacturing.
- Effective planning, organisation and presentation skills including the ability to prioritise and plan work.
- Strong Leadership skills/Interpersonal skills/Problem Solving abilities.
- Improvement of workflows and manufacturing processes
- Ability to coach technician in developing problem analysis and problem solving skills
Essential Responsibilities :
Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations. Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
