General Manager - Logistics - Auto Ancillary (18-25 yrs)
Looking for a General Manager- Logistics for a leading auto ancillary company. The incumbent would be responsible for:
Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Calculate required storage volume in store to defined safety stock level
- Plan and manage pan-India logistics network, warehouse, transportation and vendor relationships and custom operations
- Implement organization standard work procedures and benchmark with industry in terms of inventory, freight, delivery and distribution
- Manage budget on warehousing and freight in relations to the logistics operations
- Manpower Management - Planning manpower adequately to ensure optimum utilization of work hours & days available
- Capacity Management
- Third Party Management of multiple warehouses
- Exposure to handling huge quantity of part number (4000 part numbers).
Transportation & Freight
- Calculated EDQ (Economic Dispatch Quantity) by designing Logistics Cost Matrix for each customer location to achieve Target Logistics Cost
- To ensure smooth, safe and timely delivery of After Market Sales Business logistics processes with a focus along with freight negotiation, contract finalization with commercial acumen.
- Optimize warehouse and deployment schedules, carrier equipment, mode, lane costs, and customer on time delivery - Cost control initiatives
- Maintain good network with transporters PAN India
- Develop new freight forwarders
- Negotiate rate contracts with preferred clearing and forwarding agents to minimize costs.
- Use of GPRS enabled vehicles for tracking timely deliveries
- Calculate service ratio - dealer order to delivery TAT
Procurement
- Forecasting Monthly Sales Order based on Moving Average Technique & Linear Model for aftermarket CFA Locations
Warranty
- Policy & Guidelines Adherence
- Settlement Methodology - MIS
BEST Practices
The candidate must be able to add new initiatives into the supply chain by introducing best practices through continuous benchmarking.
