General Manager - Operations & Logistics - FMCG/Manufacturing (10-15 yrs)
Role : General Manager
Location : Western & Eastern Africa
- The candidate would work with the various businesses to derive value from existing operations as well as increase the impact of our RTM strategy esp in upcountry locations.
- The major cost elements that will be impacted will be around consolidation and efficiency of local transportation
- Inhouse cnf operations
- Other logistics efficiencies OCP/WH
- This is also in line with efforts to optimize the costs.
- The person would be responsible for overseeing the inventory management, transportation efficiency and upcountry warehouse operations.
- Anchoring upcountry warehouses efficiency
- It will involve logistics handling in multiple regions, different businesses, and driving a coordination and efficiency factor across all key businesses here.
- Multifaceted role having to anchor not only the core logistics and RTM function
Person Characteristics :
If you have proven experience in managing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Distribution roles in emerging/ Upcountry markets, the role entails absolute responsibility for both Country / Product levels. Exposure to Micro & Macroeconomic factors of business environment would therefore require a strong conceptual and analytical bend of mind to operate in international business environment

- Be resilient and be able to overcome challenges whilst remaining calm and collected
- Have an ownership mindset!
- Love travelling - your customers are spread across different countries across.
