Purpose of the Role : Responsible for Vehicle Supervisory & Battery management Control software requirement management, development, testing, validation and life cycle management.

Job Responsibility:

1. Software Requirement: Lead Powertrain Software functional requirements management team. Hardware, Software, Functional, interface and architecture finalisation.

2. VCU Software Development: Lead vehicle performance analysis team Software development, testing, calibration, and release management Software life cycle management Field issues resolution

3. Hardware Development: Lead Hardware design, development and diagnostics team. New Hardware requirements management & supplier selection Firmware development management Diagnostics software development management

4. Software Verification & Validation: Lead Software V&V team Lead HiL testing team Building HiL set-up

5. Software Ecosystem Development: Requirements definition and delivery management Virtua software development process definition & management Software issue tracking and license management CAPEX identification and coordination

6. Battery Management System Development: Lead BMS Software and Hardware development team. Lead software verification / calibration and troubleshooting at bench as well as Vehicle level testing. Lead Software development with supplier's data analysis. Develop / improve strategy with supplier / inhouse projects Support supplier BMS application SW and HW offering. Support analysis and troubleshooting of BMS related issues of battery packs of the field vehicle. DVP preparation, Support proto build/ troubleshooting.

7. Frontier Technology: Analysis of Benchmark reports Preparation of technology roadmap Support for tracking New Technology Development projects status

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education Experience: 

- M Tech Mechanical / Automobile / Thermal

- EV powertrain aggregates system functionality & development

- Experience in selection and optimization of uP, uC for Supervisory control in powertrain

- Selection of hardware (ECUs, Inverters, Motors etc) and hardware requirement

- Preparation of Diagnostic specification documents, UDS services, Flashing specifications

- Development of BSW interface for ASW Integration

- Experience on MAAB/ISO/MISRA C, Functional safety software testing, Polyspace etc

- EV powertrain aggregates system functionality requirements, development and testing

- Strong experience in Modelling using Matlab/Simulink, Stateflow, Matlab V&V

- Knowledge on HV & LV architecture, Hardware design & development

- Software testing on Labcar/Vehicle and Field Failure analysis

- Detailed knowledge about all the electrical and electronics subsystem components of traction Battery.

- Experience of development of application algorithms (SOC, SOH, SOP) for Battery pack is preferred.

- DC fast charging protocol & system knowledge

- AI/ML Models development for vehicle applications

- Technological advances in EV aggregates
