Job Specification :
The candidates should be B.E. - Chemical or Bsc/ Msc in Chemistry with minimum 15-20 years of experience, of which minimum 5 years as process/ production head in large dry process cement industry. The candidate should possess good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and be IT savvy. The position is reporting to President - Works.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities :
- Responsible to ensure production targets at each stage of production are achieved. Ensure adequate flow of process materials to various sections.
- Responsible to ensure all equipments in the sections are maintained in running condition (through preventive maintenance, overhauls and repairs in close liaison with HOD of the Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical Department.
- To ensure that cost per ton at the sections are within the budgeted targets.
- Assist in promoting harmonious labour relations.
- To explore areas to improve performance of the plant by in house modification.
- Monitor cost at each stage of production and develop of cost reduction programs and ensure their implementation in consultation with the top management.
- Review consumption of spares, power utilization, overtime etc.
- Review various operating reports, analyze, downtime and arrange for any corrective action, required.
- Study problem areas and make modifications in operating process, layout, equipment etc. for improving efficiency and/or quality and for reducing cost.
- Control energy consumption within targets fixed.
- Formulate and process capital budget proposals.
- Maintain returns required as per Acts/IMS and MIS for perusal of the management from time to time.
- Study the Raw Mix used and make changes wherever required in composition to achieve proper burnability of the material.
- Implement Executive Appraisal System as directed by the Management.
- Provide all necessary assistance and guidance to the Officers & Staff in properly performing their function, duties and responsibilities.
- Train Subordinates for improving their skills.
- Responsible for the staff matters of the sections assigned to him.
- Liaison with Pollution Control Board, Suppliers and Consulting Agencies.
- 100% compliance of safety in his area.
- Ensuring the implementation of IMS.
- Discharge any other responsibilities handed down by management from time to time.
