Budget: 40 to 45 lakh [Open]
Ideal Candidate: -
- Procurement, Vendor Development, Cost Reduction, Material Planning, Stores Management, Logistics, Project Purchases and Quality control.
- Able to handle all the procurement / purchase activities for multi-location plants across India including material planning and scheduling with strategic support to franchisee in food / beverage and mineral water manufacturing.
- Exposure in Project Purchases for mainly for plant and machinery for catering to growth plans and also new plants.
- Very Strong in working and leading in Cross Functional, Cross Border, Multi-Cultural team/s in various time zones with strong networking and people management
- Able to develop vendor base in India and European countries
Job Responsibility:-
- Procurement Planning & Inventory Control,Generate budget for Procurement, Centralize the purchase functions wherever possible, to gain an upper hand on negotiation thereby better discounts
- Ensure proper system of reviewing stocks & monitoring reordering levels at all manufacturing locations
- Manage assured & uninterrupted supplies of RM & PM
- Ensure that Procurement plans & schedules are correctly derived from the Sales forecast & BOM
- Keeping total vigilance on the market for exploring the right time of buying, spot purchases & maximum procurement at the most beneficial price
- Plan strategy for negotiation based on various parameters viz. value engineering, international trend, demand supply, cross currency equations, etc
- Aim at significant reduction in procurement price through effective negotiations, market intelligence, reverse auctions, etc
- Exploring new ideas and concepts for cost saving by means of outsourcing, optimized packing, reducing freight cost, etc
- Vendor development in domestic & international market, which includes selecting the right vendor, quality establishment, finalizing all the commercial terms & conditions & contracting for long term, either with a fixed or variable price, after working out the market dynamics & benefits
- Periodic evaluation & decision making to be made across plants/locations for either consolidating requirements to leverage on scale of economies, else push for local procurement for freight saving & cost effective NLC (Net Landed Cost)
- Drive the Vendor Development Initiatives with Quality/Technical team through Vendor Pre-assessment, evaluation & rating process
- Undertake total ownership of AVL (Approved Vendor List) across RM, PM, Chemicals, Consumables & POP materials
- Periodic review of SOP's for process enhancement
- Closely interact with Packaging Development Team for extending the prevailing cost effective packaging solutions, share trends of various inputs to ensure that all developments are undertaken with constructs having steady projections
- Support the Marketing team for sourcing/suggesting cost effective/diversified options across the gamut of promotional activities (BTL)
- Review agreements / MOU & suggest amendments aimed at long term benefits
- Design reporting models to the management on Purchase performance, cost savings, purchase standardization across sites & overall performance vis-a-vis budgeted on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis
- System savvy with hands on SAP & other value added support systems, viz. BI, MRP, etc
- Ensure that the manuals are updated & upgraded for information
- Ensuring best rates for disposal of scrap for enhancing the byproduct credit
