General Manager - Purchase - FMCG/Pharma (10-16 yrs)
Looking for an Engineer and MBA from reputed institutes with around 10 years of experience in FMCG/Pharmacy industry
The incumbent should have :
- Detailed knowledge of procurement procedures and techniques
- Strong management ability
- Good negotiation skills
- Good judgement and decision making
- Social perceptiveness a desirable characteristic
Attention to details :
Ability to weigh alternative actions and make decisions that incorporate opinions, facts, tangible or intangible factors
His main job responsibilities would include :
- Developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures for commercial & manufacturing locations
- Develop sourcing strategy for key spend categories Vendor assessment, audit and Vendor Development
Identifying the sources of materials vendors :
- Managing inventory
- Representing in negotiating contracts
- Negotiating for service contracts and competitive prices
- Support NPD, Value Engineering Initiatives and promotional marketing initiatives for the region
