To carry out Research and development work in the field of Industrial Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Explosives and Fertilizers in view of Product development, process improvement, search, selection and development of alternate resourcing of raw materials, packing materials and catalysts.

To ensure QUALITY of the PRODUCT manufactured and packing system to meet the required standards, by providing effective support to the plant operations, despatch with the ultimate aim to reduce customer complaints and Quality Cost

- Quality management across the value chain of all products with quality department operation

- 9K, 14K, 18K, USP,FDA & NABL,DSIR etc & regulatory requirements (FCO) related to quality of product

- Support to other department for trouble shooting / new product development / alternate vendor development

- Build a capable and motivated team to create high performance team environment

- To initiate product and process development research in view to achieve desired quality, process and product safety, simplicity and economy

- To plan the activities of the quality testing and lab functions and prepare an annual budget for necessary approval

- Periodic review of budget and take corrective measures as required for effective control

- Optimize deployment of manpower, through leave planning of Lab officers.

- Customer complaint redressal and closure of the complaints within the time frame

- Provide analytical services to internal as well as external customer with time frame. Troubleshooting in analytical problems.

- To have an effective maintenance programme for the lab instruments and ensure their accuracy and availability

- To clear or reject incoming material after necessary quality checks and post the decision in the SAP within the time frame

- To plan for periodic HK audits and implement recommendations for improving safety and environment standards

- Annual reporting to DSIR to get R&D tax benefits

- Implementation EHS & QS objectives of the department

- Periodic review of SOPs manual and OCPs for the necessary compliance of internal/external audit

- Carrying out periodic review internally for ensuring the SOPs are strictly followed

- Maintaining document as per regulatory requirement

- Annual reporting to DSIR to get R&D tax benefits

- Implementation EHS & QS objectives of the department

- Periodic review of SOPs manual and OCPs for the necessary compliance of internal/external audit

- Carrying out periodic review internally for ensuring the SOPs are strictly followed

- Maintaining document as per regulatory requirement

- Develop team through structured training and on the job coaching.

- Establish performance expectations and regularly review individual performance.

- Identify the training needs of subordinates.

- BSC /KRA preparation as well as review of employees.

- Training programs for new entrants, contractor employees and refresher training to employees

- Recommend appropriate rewards & recognition

- Initiate different product experiments with different raw materials and process conditions: design and run pilot plant viability establish and patent new products and processes technology development and transfer formalities study world's trends, forecasting of different products, liking and demands search and establish creative people in R&D

- MSc. in Chemistry, Research potential with Doctorate degree

- Knowledge of analytical services and troubleshooting

- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control in laboratory

- Knowledge of national as well as international Standard & legal requirements related to quality

- Knowledge of ISO 9K, 14K, 18K, FDA,GMP,DSIR & NABL etc
