General Manager - Supply Chain/Planning & Control - Automotive/Manufacturing/Retail (10-15 yrs)
Job Responsibilities :
- Chart out the strategic direction of the supply chain management function taking into consideration the business strategy & objectives over the long term, external & internal environements & key stakeholders
- Conceptualise, design & support implementation of state of the art/ futuristic SCM interventions in the buying & logistics domain by appropriately & adequately leveraging new IT/ digital/ technological platforms as well as data analytics
- Knowledge of inbound logistics and hands on experience on optimisation of transportation networks, space utilisation, cross docking & overall turnover time ( TOT) improvement
- Thorough understanding & experience of outbound logistics practises such as secondary transportation, transporation of finished vehicles/ goods, optimum utilisation of transportation container space etc.
- Knowledge of & exposure to international exports planning, exim procedures, ocean freight management & exports supply chain execution. Few ex. Part planning for CKD exports, order execution as per BoM, shipping container utilisation, management of receipts, stores & dispatch at overseas locations
