General Mills - Commercialization Manager - External Supply Chain (6-8 yrs)
Job Summary:
The position would be responsible to lead and supervise the projects execution with excellence and handover operations across all the contract manufacturing sites, manage initative performance on a routine basis, provide technical and leadership inputs to the partners to maintain efficiencies in operations.
Job Location: Mumbai
The role demands extensive travelling.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with Operations Business Manager for upcoming External Supply Chain (ESC) projects, capacity expansions, line extensions and cost/consumer initiatives and ensure execution through the respective external supply chain partners.
2. Work closely with the ESC unit heads and the broader ESC teams to stabilise operations post start up and hand over operations post ramp up (productivity).
3. Coordinate with internal resources and ESC partners for flawless execution of the projects and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Identify technical parameters.
5. Identify Capex requirement.
5. Source equipment to ensure optimum technical capacities.
6. Study Technical Feasibility of New Products.
7. Prepare Plant Layout.
8. Install and commissioning of Plant to meet to meet manufacturing requirement.
Specifications:
Academics: Bachelor's in Engineering with a specialization in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical.
Post graduates from reputed institutes.
Experience: Overall 6-8 years of total experience, 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Startup/Project Management function mostly in manufacturing organizations in the FMCG, Beverages, Pharmaceuticals or other Consumer Goods industries.
