Genral Manager - Paint Shop (18-23 yrs)
- Recognizes and communicates safe work practices as the highest priority and establishes guidelines for health/safety, Incident Reporting, Problem Resolution, Ergonomics and regular SOTs & Safety Checks at all levels in Paint Shop. Shop Control & Follow-Up.
- Builds and maintains good working relationships with employees, union, and management. Empowers employees to continuously improve their work and supports them by managing and eliminating constraints by small Kaizens.
- Identify training needs & execute training for shift Incharge, Shop Engineer, Group leader, Lead Associate & Associates for their Professional Growth.
- Focuses the Plant organization on attainment of key quality goals.
- Manages the Direct Run and Direct Run Loss targets and supports Quality improvement programs.
- Achieves 100 % scheduled production.
- Ensure rapid and effective countermeasures are implemented based on feedback from audit activities and customer feedback.
- TPM implementation ensuring effective usability of Jigs, fixtures, Tools & equipment's.
- Provides input to the Paint Shop budget w.r.t to cost objective. Supports Paint shop team in effective problem solving to reduce rework and scrap. Focuses on maximizing value added work & monitor and control factory supplies and rejection costs in Paint Shop.
- Ensure safe Environmental practices in Paint Shop. Ensure proper handling and storage of all chemicals and hazardous material in place with the standards.
- Handling of Waste Material in Environment Friendly way. Monitors and controls the use of Electricity, Air and water in Paint Shop. Knowledge of Paint Exhaust System.
- Cascades and ensure proper execution of the BPD process at all levels
- Approves SOS, JES, OD Sheets, Critical Operation Sheets, Problem solving in Paint shop.
- Directs and holds responsibility for implementation of GMS in the Shop.
