Genrobotic Innovations - Product Design Engineer - Mechanical (4-8 yrs)
Job Functions :
- Design and detail structural components and assemblies to meet customer expectations.
- Create shop design packages that include bills of material, part drawings, and assembly drawings required for production.
- Upgrade existing designs to meet current requirements, improving reliability, and reducing cost.
- Coordinate and conduct design verification testing at component, subsystem and system levels.
- Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, distributors, and salespersons.
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, deliverables, and quality plans.
- Review product service manuals and product specifications to ensure accuracy, as necessary.
- Provide onsite customer support as needed.
- The candidate must have strong leadership skills and be result oriented and must be a strong communicator, creative, believes in a structured approach to solving problems and meeting goals.
- Develop test plans and test equipment to verify feasibility and reliability of designs at all stages of development
- Take your work all the way from concept to mass production
- Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, design and implement corrective and preventative solutions.
Technical Requirements :
- 4+ years of experience as Product design engineer or similar job profiles (suitable to the below mentioned skills).
- Experience in developing conceptual designs and budgetary quotes.
- Design experience in special purpose heavy duty machines.
- Knowledge in design and selection of proper heavy and light duty guiding systems (roller guides, bearing guides, mechanical 'V' guides etc).
- Knowledge in design and development of structural works (Automobile, sheet works, RHS or pipe works, channel works).
- Able to build linkage mechanisms for challenging problems.
- Analyze Dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems.
- Able to perform Static and Dynamic analysis of corresponding systems.
- Deep understanding of materials, linear and nonlinear behavior of materials, fatigue and corrosion properties in different environments.
- Prefer two years of experience using any 3D CAD modelling software's.
- Experience in use of lean tools to help develop new processes, layouts and flow.
- Preferred Knowledge in Hydraulic/Pneumatic system Design (selection of cylinders, power pack, pressure and flow control devices, hoses, Solenoid actuated direction control valves etc).
Qualifications Required :
- B-tech/BE degree with 3+ years of full time (post-college graduation) as mechanical design engineer.
