GM - Operations (From materials/engineering companies)

A minimum of 15 years experience in manufacturing in large and medium companies with exposure to materials and engineering functions as well. At least five years- experience at senior level (DGM/GM) is a must.

1. Planning, formulating, organizing and controlling operations - manufacturing, materials management and engineering;

2. Ensure that as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness benchmarked against the best in class in industry;

3. Work closely with Vice President - Operations & President & Head Operations on manufacturing plans, goals and future product innovations; developing procurement and inventory management strategies and engineering standardization.

4. Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and margins;Set up cost control standards, waste reduction and production processes to maximize resource utilization.

5. Create production tracking and evaluate productions to determine problems and suggest processing, outsourcing and staffing changes.

6. Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing strategies, long-range goals and objectives.

7. Maintains an external awareness of the tradeshow industry and related production trends, materials, techniques, technology, etc.

8. Partner with sales team to meet with customers to discuss and set scheduling timelines for product delivery.

9. To oversee development of production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers;and shipping/receiving activities.

10. Direct all production control, production process development, quality systems and purchasing activities; including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.

11. Play an active role in senior level negotiations with suppliers

12. Develop all necessary policies and proceduresto ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency;

13. To oversee the daily production operations and stores management;

14. Develop a performance-driven culture in the organization to maintain motivated, disciplined and well trained teams.

15. Direct and control all factory staff to ensure that they are properly motivated, trained and developed, and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and in accordance with health, safety and hygiene standards. ; Contributes to building a positive team spirit and group commitments to goals and objectives

16. Develop and implement Quality management systems including ISO, OHSASH, 5S. Kaizen etc.

- Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.Good communicator and has to possess good negotiation skills, Building a new factory from scratch will be an added advantage.

- Proficiency in Kannada language (Spoken is essential)
