Title of Job : GM - Product Integrity and Quality Compliance ( Lubricants & Additives)
Job Purpose :
- This role is a critical requirement to ensure consistency across various units as far as Quality is concerned. This role is responsible for managing Quality Assurance and Compliance to product legislation.
- This role is part of the Global Technology Teams and needs to understand new products being launched and also to share manufacturing issues and challenges across geographies back into the product development team and work with the functional heads to resolve the same.
Key Result Areas :
- To drive the compliance agenda and to ensure that the blending plants adhere to the global formulations.
- Ensures that product supplied is with correctly stated and implied claims.
- Undertake and drives RCA (root cause analysis) in case of non-compliance to prevent it from recurring - share learning with team.
- Understand the constraints in implementation of standard process guidelines / statutory requirements by plants and resolve by coordinating with respective functions.
- Co-ordinate with plants for collation of monthly data on products blended, formulations used and additives consumed.
- Ensure key processes are in place and updated from time to time for formulation transfer.
Education :
Essential : Must be at least graduation Engineering or post graduate in Science from a reputed university / institution with relevant experience in Quality.
Desirable : Certified Quality / Lead Auditor
Experience :
- 12 years + in that at least 7 - 10 yrs. of experience in Lubricants, Chemicals or Automobile Industry. Should have experience in managing Quality systems preferably with lab accountability.
- Exposure to quality audit certification and process would be desirable.Experience in managing customer accounts is desirable.
Competencies :
The individual should have high degree of bias toward quality and strong integrity for driving the quality agenda.
Technical :
- In depth knowledge of Industry, Product Formulation & Lab Management
- Good understanding of audit procedures & systems
- Good understanding of plant processes
- Expert analytical and data interpretation skills
