GM - Quality Assurance/Quality Control - Agri Input/Custom Synthesis & Manufacturing (12-16 yrs)
Position Purpose
QA Lead is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating quality assurance programs across company as well as formulating quality control policies to be adopted by the AgChem line of business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
- Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, financials to support, contribute to, and integrate within the organization's annual business plan and long term strategy
- Drive synergies for sites and collaborate with other QA LoB Leads to build uniform quality systems for the business leading to synergy in operations and a uniform quality culture across the organization
- Monitor the functioning of quality systems and implementation programs for product quality consistency with outsourcing partners and suppliers
- Co-ordinate with other sites in terms of Quality Assurance practices harmonization.
Operational & Financial
- Drive initiatives in the LoB organization pertaining to, but not limited to:
System performance improvements related to Quality Assurance
Improving the efficiency of existing processes through process automation, reduction in activities and optimum utilization of resources
Develop alternate approach for testing for optimum utilization of resources and improving operation efficiency
- Provide feedback on quality and audit related issues by leading discussions with customers, BD and Operations teams
- Plan for improvement in terms of effectiveness and efficiency of quality system and quality processes
- Lead quality system compliance monitoring and audits at out-sourcing sites & at suppliers to ensure consistency in product quality and packaging
- Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments
- Responsible as management representative for Quality Management System implementation and performance monitoring at site
- Responsible for system's document control and change management for Quality, Environment & Safety management systems across all sites
Drive initiatives towards attainment of Quality awards and recognition
People:
- Ensure safety & high productivity at the workplace
- Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team
- Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team
- Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the team
- Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to Company's values, vision & mission and active participation in various team engagement activities
