GM/Senior GM - SCM/Logistics - Consumer Durable (20-25 yrs)
Job Objective
In charge of logistics and primary & secondary movement of goods (across all BUs of the Company) from vendors, central warehouse, RDCs and branches. The responsibility will span across 21 branch offices spread across India we are supported by a chain of about 2200 distributors, 4100 authorized dealers, over 4,00,000 retail outlets and over 280 Customer Care centers.
Business Verticals to be managed :
Engineering & Projects, Consumer Products and Luminaires.
1. Looking after the movement of finished goods from vendor to CWH/RDC/Branches.
- Checking on the space availability at CWH/RDC/branch warehouses.
- Close co-ordination with vendors, CWH in-charge, suggest alternate modes of transport whenever necessary.
2. Internal stock transfers.
- Arranging modes of transport for the transfers
- Ensure timely service of stock movements from one location to another.
3. Management of transporters and fleet owners
- Appointment centralized transporters and fleet owners.
- Finalization of Contracts with transporters and Periodical Reviews of the same.
- Setting service level agreements
- Processing of Transporters Freight Bills & arranging for release of Payments
- Procedure for Lodging / Settlement of Claims on Centralized Transporters
- Provide reports on load optimization, route optimization, rate optimization to Head-BSS.
4. Process Improvement
- Heavy co-ordination with IT Department for development of various commercial related improvement modules
- Implementation of developed modules for process improvement.
- Good commercial understanding & taxation awareness including GST.
5. Ability to manage teams consisting of Managers/Sr. Managers
Industry Preference: Consumer durables or similar role from reputed Companies (shipping, etc.)
