JOB PURPOSE :

Responsible for providing cost efficient & aesthetically appealing architectural design solutions for terminal expansion works at RGIA. Review and approval of all architectural and Civil design analysis and drawings submitted by the consultants, coordinate and implement design development and review of design management process/Manual.

KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES :

Design Management :

- Develop and implement design management and review of design management process/Manual for design works.

- Provide/ review schematic design concepts for further detailing (Not limiting to Terminal Architecture & Finishes, Lounges, offices special architecture finishes and art work)

- Review and approve detailed designs/drawings submitted by the design consultants.

- Coordinate with structural designer, MEP and other related consultants for development of integrated/Coordinated drawings.

- Provide manuals for finishes works including method statements and joinery details etc...

- Engage with specialist contractors for cladding, facade and other architectural and finishes material suppliers for providing complete and comprehensive architectural design.

- Ensure highest quality of design in adherence to IS, ASTM, NBC and other relevant standards and Codal requirements.

- Review and approve all materials and work methodologies

- Responsible to conduct design review meetings with cross functional teams, support resolving design conflicts and maintain design approval management systems.

- Review and recommend GFCs for approval.

Procurement Management :

- Support in preparation of draft tender drawings, specification and BOQ for HOD approval.

- Assist internal team & procurement team in vendor evaluation and technical evaluation of the bids, Provide Commercial inputs for price realization.

Construction Management :

- Support construction during execution/implementation by providing the design / detailing / clarifications and approval of shop drawings.

- Coordinate with the consultants and execution team for resolving any conflicts

- Advise execution team for monitoring quality and compliance to approved specifications.

- Conduct factory inspection for fabrication of finished items such as furniture, counters, signage etc.

- Review of As Built Drawings s submitted by the contractors.

Compliance :

- Ensure adherence and compliances to all design standards and manuals in relation to design development and implementation of architectural design.

- Health Safety environment and regulatory compliances

- Assist and work with the management for effective deployment of safety policy and achieve the safety objectives and targets /goals.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelors/ Master in Architecture.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE :

- Overall 12-14 Years of work experience as an Architect.

- Design Management & Project Management experience preferred

- Working experience on Sketch Up, AutoCAD 3D, 3D Max, REVIT, and BIM modellings.

- Sound Knowledge of Indian Standards, National Building Code of India, International Design standards, Fire dept. regulations, and compliances to statutory norms.
