Job description :

- Plan and develop a given region for procurement of commodities (fruits, vegetables, grains) directly from the farmers

- Manage a team of 15-25 procurement executives and drive them to exceed expectations

- Ensure processes and systems are being followed by the team (use of technology)

- Funnel in prospective procurement executives

- Analysing the strengths of different team members in a region and assigning them responsibilities accordingly

- Identify bottlenecks in the current process and suggest changes in the same

- Develop tools in collaboration with the technology team to streamline / optimise the process

- Oversee the payment and inventory management of the area assigned

- Willing to stay in small towns near villages and work irregular long hours

Skills Required :

- Prior work-ex/background in Operations (min. 2 years)

- Willing to stay in small towns near villages and work irregular long hours

- Any experience in agriculture sector - fruits/vegetables vendors, Mandis, grocery centers, family background etc.is a bonus

- Prior experience in managing a team of 50 ground level work-force
