Group Head - Maintenance Engineer - Healthcare (10-20 yrs)

Head- Hunting for Group Maintenance Head

Mandatory Requirement- Exp: 10-18 year out of which 4-5 year of Maintenance experience in Hospitals only

Industry Preference: - Hospitals. Apart from hospitals Candidate who has exposure to Hotels/ Real Estate facilities or a manufacturing unit along with Hospital.

Education : Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical

Job Location: Kolkata

Role Objective :

The incumbent will be responsible for :

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

(A) Strategic

1. Strategic / Corporate Role

- Identifies and drafts operational policies, documents, reports control systems and procedures relating to the engineering department

- Identifies and implements cost minimization initiatives

- Prepares and monitors the department budget.

(B) Operational

1. Budgeting MIS & Reporting

- Ensures preparation and timely generation of department MIS

- Prepare department budget (capital and operational).

2. Compliances

- Tracks documentation, license and renewals requirements under relevant legislations

- Coordinates with allied departments/functions to get appropriate inputs to ensure compliance.

3. Service Delivery

- Executes department plans and procedures; liaises with vendors etc to ensure that the unit receives service levels that are cost effective, timely and of the desired quality.

4. Plant Engineering Equipment, Utilities, Spares and Consumables

- Monitors and manages uninterrupted service by following: Plumbing, Pipeline, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, Carpentry, Sewage treatment, Water treatment etc.

- Recommends / Prepares equipment, spare parts and consumable plans for the department on a regular basis.

- Devises and monitors machine efficiency and equipment performance at regular intervals.

- Designs ways to conserve energy power, water etc. and undertake measures to reduce wasteful consumption.

- Addresses and resolves escalated complaints and grievances from user departments. Monitor Compliant TATs.

- Participates in the purchase committee on procurement of new equipment/set up new utilities for the department.

5. Maintenance

- Monitors maintenance schedule adherence for all engineering equipment and utilities at the unit

- Monitors breakdowns and plan ways to optimize machine uptime

- Reviews performance of AMC vendors/partners.

(C) Administrative (Head of department)

1. Resource Planning and Monitoring

- Prepares manpower budgets, role requirements and performance indices of sections

- Liaises with other departments/ functions to ensure and leverage work dependencies; enhance performance and efficiencies.

2. Contract labour

- Recommends positions /areas to be contracted and vendors to be empanelled

- Reviews cost of contract labour

- Reviews deployment of contract labour and productivity

3. Process Compliance

- Implements Policies and procedures across department as per defined SOPs

4. People Management & Development (For own team)

- Manages all people related issues for direct reportees

- Acts as first point of contact for communication, interpretation and implementation of management decisions to direct reporting subordinates

5. Recruitment

- Participates in Technical Assessment of candidates in the hiring process

6. Learning & Development

- Contributes to the formulation of annual training calendar

7. Performance Management

- Develops performance indicators for own function departments and assesses achievement.

8. Culture Building & Employee Engagement

- Recommend & implement policies to ensure retention of the high potential/performing employees
