GSK - Electrical & Instrumentation Officer - Service Operations (2-5 yrs)

Job Title : Officer Electrical & Instrumentation
- The incumbent is responsible from electrical/instrumentation point of view for equipment like multiple effect evaporators, second stage evaporators, heat exchangers, quadruple effect evaporators, mashers, extractors, mills, conveying systems, spray dryers, vacuum band dryers, vacuum pumps, blowers, lobe pumps, agitators, rotary valves.
Key Responsibilities :
Officer Electrical :
- Ensure zero unplanned shutdown as a result of electrical breakdown
- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials
- Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties
- Provide electrical solutions by studying customer requirements
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Provide engineering information by addressing questions and requests from stakeholders
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with legal regulations
- Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures
- Ensure adherence to SMC schedules
- Ensure competency in any upgraded equipment by training and guiding technicians
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Ensure all MIS pertaining to the department are monitored, accurate and reports are prepared for stake holder circulation.
- Ensure In-Use Safe Work practices and adherence to EHS requirements
Officer Instrumentation :
- Ensure zero unplanned shutdown as a result of instrumentation breakdown
- Ensure smooth DCS operation
- Calibrating and repairing instruments and equipment
- Handle the entire process from selection and procurement of equipment like sensors, PLCs, Valves etc. and designing of SCADA, PLC Logics, Communication mechanism etc.
- Be updated about the newest technologies in instrumentation equipment
- Ensure all MIS pertaining to the department are monitored, accurate and reports are prepared for stake holder circulation.
- Ensure In-Use Safe Work practices and adherence to EHS requirements
