Hardware Design Engineer (5-7 yrs)
Primary Responsibility : As an electrical engineer on our team, you will design, implement, debug, and support new beverage dispense products. Responsibilities will include: designing from product requirements, entering schematics, interfacing with PCB and assembly houses, Interfacing with software and mechanical teams, developing and executing verification tests, as well as writing release documentation for new products.
Specific Functions :
- Design of beverage dispensing and control boards for hot & cold / Ice making units, should be well versed with Planning, Scheduling & documentation.
- Design harness drawings and requirements
- Develop overall system functionality understanding
- Coordinate project work to meet the completion time and cost targets
- Work with PCBA suppliers to deliver concept, prototype, pilot and production ready PCBA's
- Work with technical service team to develop installation, service and troubleshooting documentation
- Work with manufacturing to develop handling and testing equipment
- Effectively apply adaptive thinking to create unique solutions to problems
Required Skills and Experience :
- Experience in New Product Development environment
- Self-starter, driven, and motivated team-player
- Proven ability to interact, communicate and contribute to software and system development processes
- Experience working on engineering and project teams
- Orcad Schematic Capture & PSPICE Experience with Layout abilities a plus.
- Experience with high voltage control elements; such as, TRIACS, SSR's, SCR's
- Experience with Analog, Digital & programmable devices.
- Component-level design and layout of PC boards to ensure adherence to electrical standards as it relates to safety and EMC
Additional Skills will get Advantage :
- Pneumatic & Electro-Mechanical Motion Control experience
- Experience with Optical, Magnetic and Other Sensor Technologies
- Ability to Write/Debug embedded software
- Experience with 3D Harness design/routing (specifically in Creo)
- Experience with embedded systems. 8/32 bit exposure, ARM processor knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of Agency Approval processes: UL/CSA, TUV, VDE, IEC, etc.
- A background in beverage or food handling
