Hardware Design Engineer - Medical Devices (3-6 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including signal processing experts, and software developers, to define and develop hardware requirements for biometric sensing devices focused on heart rate detection.

- Design and develop high-quality analog and digital circuits optimized for capturing and processing heart rate signals from the human body.

- Utilize your knowledge of signal conditioning, noise reduction, and data acquisition techniques to ensure accurate and reliable heart rate measurements.

- Lead the schematic design and layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs), considering factors such as signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management.

- Incorporate sensor technologies and interfaces that enable effective heart rate detection, such as photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors and ECG electrodes.

- Conduct thorough testing, verification, and validation of hardware prototypes and final designs, utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other relevant test equipment.

- Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and guidance to ensure high-quality designs and adherence to project timelines.

- Generate detailed documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports, to support regulatory submissions and product development activities.

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in hardware design, with a specific focus on biometric sensing and heart rate detection.

- Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar.

- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal conditioning, and noise reduction techniques.

- Familiarity with biometric sensing technologies such as PPG sensors, ECG electrodes, and bioimpedance sensors.

- Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems and embedded systems design.

- Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot hardware issues using advanced test equipment.

- Knowledge of medical device standards and regulations

- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality and reliable hardware designs.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards overcoming technical challenges.
