Job purpose :
This job role is to accomplish activities related to Hardware Design for the 5G DU and 5G CU and the family of products using Intel Processor. The job role is defined below:
- To design of 5G NR - DU and CU System including Intel Ice Lake Processor, Pomona Lake, different types of Ethernet Controller, Clock synchronizer, AC to DC Converter etc.
- To work closely with the SoC manufacturers, software and firmware design team to integrate the Software and firmware on the designed hardware
- To work on bring-up activity and testing of the hardware boards
- To define hardware related alarms and need to design in the hardware
- Design considering the Safety, EMI and EMC certifications for the products
Duties and responsibilities:
Baseband and High-Speed Circuit Design:
1.Component selections mainly DSP, Network Processor, FPGA and other important components
2.Schematic Capture and Review
3.Layout Floor Planning and Review
4.Signal Integrity (SI) Analysis
5.Power Integrity (PI) Analysis
6.Reliability Analysis
FPGA and Modem SOC Design:
1.Circuit and interface design of FPGA with Baseband/Modem SoC
2.FPGA Resource Analysis
3.RTL Coding
4.FPGA and Baseband SoC interface testing using Digital Oscilloscope
5.Micro-controller design for booting up the Modem IC
Qualifications
Education:
1.B.Tech/M.Tech in Microwave Circuit Design or equivalent
Experience:
1.Min. 5-10 years of experience in Radio Design of Telecom products such as Outdoor Small Cell, Macro gNodeB/eNodeB etc.
Skills and Understanding:
1.To have hands on experience in Hardware design with Intel processors
2.Knowledge of high speed circuit design
3.Good fundamental knowledge of Mixed signal design
4.Hands on T & M Equipment such as DMM, DC power Supply, LA and Oscilloscope
5.Understanding of SI and PI analysis.
6.Power Supply design - Both DC to DC and AC to DC
7.Understanding of embedded design
8.Knowledge of Load testing
9.Basic concepts of FPGA
10.Skills in finding the Root cause for any issue in the circuit
11.Characterize the requirements for FPGA and network processor and to select appropriate component from the Tier-1 components vendor
