Hardware Engineer - BMS (3-4 yrs)
- As an BMS Hardware Engineer, you will be working with Hardware and Software Engineers in an open plan workspace. You will be a part of the engineering team working on the development of hardware components for the Automotive and ESS applications. Your involvement will be required in every step of the development process : definition of requirements, feasibility studies, architecture design, system design, testing, validation, system optimization and preparation for serial production. Hardware circuit design for the EV electronic boards (BMS)
Role :
- Design Electronic circuit for Li-ion BMS and create the schematic for electronics boards. Design calculation, worst case calculation, component selection, alternate part search and documentations.
- Support products development from initial concept through mass production, including design, debugging, Creating and executing the test plan for the different stages of the hardware development and validation
- Participating in the design of components which must be in compliance with the industry standards, in terms of EMC, ESD, safety, vibrations, environmental, and other requirement
- Working closely with Battery team and software engineering teams for product integration
- Analyze, validate, and characterize hardware design
- You will define User acceptance tests and conduct them at the in-house test facilities, external laboratory houses and perform field testing on test vehicles to validate design functionality of the prototypes and the final device
- Own PCB schematic and layout
Skills and Experience :
- Experience in electronics (hardware) development process.
- Experience with Altium for schematic capture and PCB design.
- Experience in EMI/EMC.
- Familiar with a variety of microcontrollers including Microchip, TI, NXP, ST and ARM-based embedded processors.
- Experience in the selection and use of microcontrollers and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).
- Experience with system level integration of products micro-controllers, data interfaces such as CAN, RS485, RS232 and Bluetooth.
- Experience with high current, voltage and power semiconductors (IGBTs, MOSFETs, Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design, boards designs and validation.
- Ability to understand and localize potential noises and interference sources in schematics and PCBs, and finding solutions to minimize them
- Working in a multidisciplinary team with other Hardware, Software, Mechanical and System Engineers
- Strong verbal and written communication
Educational background : Bachelors/Master's in electrical/electronics engineering or any other equivalent degree with 3-4 years of experience in Embedded/IoT electronics development
