Hardware Engineer - Power Electronics (4-20 yrs)

Major Job Duties :
- In this position, you will be designing, developing, and testing power electronics hardware components and systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions.
- Responsible for designing embedded hardware products including architecture definition, detail design, and verification
- Design and develop power electronics hardware components, including converters, inverters, and motor drives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze system requirements for power electronics designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of power electronics hardware with other systems.
- Develop and test power electronic circuits, digital logic, microcomputer and analog circuits.
- Perform detailed design analysis, simulations, and calculations to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Support with RFQ, sourcing, and supplier selection process
- Ensure products satisfy UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, EU, and EN requirements.
- Create schematic designs and oversee PCB layout for power electronics hardware.
- Develop test plans and perform rigorous testing of power electronics prototypes and final designs.
- Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of power electronics systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to power electronics.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and assist in resolving power electronics-related issues.
We are looking for people who have :
- 4+ years of experience in the field of Power Electronics Hardware Engineering.
- Proven experience in designing and developing power electronics hardware for commercial products.
- He/she is expected to have know-how on end-to-end ECU hardware development and Validation/Power electronics modules like DCDC, Motor control etc.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics principles, including converters, inverters, and motor drives.
- Proficiency in using simulation tools and software such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or similar.
- Volvo GTT systems, process, and tools knowledge is an asset
- Familiarity with PCB design and layout tools.
- Experience in conducting design analysis, simulations, and calculations.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lead the team.
Location : Ahmedabad, India.
