Harness Design Engineer-Electromechanical-Rail Domain-Bangalore

We are looking for a Harness Design Engineer (Electromechanical) with 3-18 years of Experience for our esteemed client for the Bangalore Location.

Key Skills: Harness design/routing, Catia V5 modules like Electrical harness assembly, Installation & Flattening, Part Design, Drafting and Assembly Design

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Take over design responsibility for the Electrical wiring and Installation Systems design scope for certain system or component in a new project from scratch

- Investigate and prepare conceptual decision making based on requirements and cost (cost value engineering if necessary)

- You develop and design subassemblies for the state-of-the-art rail vehicles

- You design 3D CAD models and create drawings in Creo

- During development, you take into account functional as well as material and production requirements

- Furthermore, by working with the various interfaces (e.g., interior, electrical, vehicle control, vehicle head), you will also gain deep insights into the overall vehicle

- Lead and delegate an offshore design team in India

- Technical supplier management for the assigned systems

- Required Skills (Technical Competency):

- Overall, 2 to 4 Years of Experience in Product Design & Development

- 2 Years of Experience in Wiring Harness Design

- Experience in Rail domain.

- Expertise of Electrical wiring harness routing and packaging.

- Generating different proposals related to layout of wiring harness.

- Wiring Diagrams/Circuits & Harness Drawing

- Experience in Wiring Harness Design and exposure to CAD Tools

- Harness Electrical Circuit design, Circuit Analysis

- Selection & Sizing of Harness Electrical components & Harness Manufacturing

- Experience in Electrical schematics

- Knowledge on Tolerance stack-up analysis and recommend feasible solutions in accordance with manufacturing capabilities

- Good drawing reading skills and dimensioning standard

Requirements:

- Ability to understand technical requirements for harness design/routing

- Good Knowledge of Catia V5 modules like Electrical harness assembly, Installation & Flattening, Part Design, Drafting and Assembly Design

- Good understanding of Electrical Equipment and diagrams

- Sheet metal design ; Installation / support brackets, cable trays, cabinets, etc.

- Good drawing reading skills, dimensioning standard, and BoM creation

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience on Rolling stock (Rail) and standards

- working level expertise on Rolling stock (Rail) / Harness Design

- Ability to design and drafting of assemblies, installations, etc.

- Ability to design electrical cabinets, installation & routing, cable ducts/trays, bracket design and selection of Cable Clamps, Connectors, Glands, Cable Protections & Conduits for Harness Installation

- Work experience in Data Management tools like Enovia 3DCOM, PDM, VPM
