Head - Chemical Plant Design (12-15 yrs)
Role Overview
The Head of Chemical Plant Design / Chemical Project Consultant (CPC) will be responsible for setting up and leading the Chemical Project Consultancy (CPC). This role involves managing a team of multidisciplinary engineers- including chemical, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers- to design, develop, and commission world-class pilot and mid-scale chemical plants. The candidate will oversee all phases of process and plant design, from initial requirement gathering to commissioning, ensuring compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience : 12 to 15 years in chemical plant design, process engineering, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project execution.
Industry Knowledge : Extensive experience in API, pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, petrochemical, or agrochemical plant design.
Software Expertise : Hands-on experience with process simulation tools (Aspen, CHEMCAD, DWSim, MATLAB).
- Compliance & Safety Standards : Strong understanding of GMP, cGMP, FDA, ATEX, HAZOP, and environmental regulations.
- Material Knowledge : Experience designing plants with glass, MSGL, SSGL, and stainless-steel systems.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in process optimization. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with EPC consultants and chemical plant equipment manufacturers.
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies.
