JOB DESCRIPTION :

Position Title : Head - Design & Engineering 

Position Level : EVP/SVP

Reporting To : Group Head Projects 

Team Size : 

Direct - 4 Functional Heads

Indirect - 20-25

1. JOB PURPOSE :

To lead and oversee all projects in India by collaborating, engaging and directing the Consultants and Contractors. Act as the point of contact to interface internally and externally on all issues related with project execution and delivery. Accountable for high value construction spend.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Overall responsible for developing and design detailed engineering activities.

- Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews Structural-Design/ Architectural/ MEP-Design/ Quantity Survey for planning, designing, cost estimating.

- Driving the preparation and maintenance of cost records which are used in preparing cost estimates of new projects.

- Interact with internal and external Stakeholders to develop requirement specific solutions.

- Interact with technical Consultant to ensure design achievability.

- Initiate new ideas and innovation of research and design.

- Leadership level for self competence and team training.

- Ensure to provide quality design and on time delivery.

- Develop working method based on QMS and other given guidelines.

- Prepare design tools and methods competence and implement good design practices.

- Review and approve weekly, monthly and special progress reports, as needed.

- Manage and resolve disputes between Consultants, Contractors and other Stakeholders.

- Conduct periodic - performance reviews- of direct reportees.

3. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

Minimum Qualification : BTech / BE (Civil)/B Arch

Minimum Experience : 20 - 25 Years

Age Less than : 50 yrs

Job Specific Skills : Considerable knowledge of the modern principles and practices of engineering.

Generic Skills : Communication and Presentation

Behavioral Competencies : Teamwork, flexibility and excellent people management skills
