Head - EHS (22-25 yrs)
Objective:
As a EHS Head (TL and SS projects), the person shall ensure Zero harm at all levels and to monitor the level of implementation of EHS Management Systems at all project sites and cluster offices for TL and SS projects. He shall ensure continual improvement of EHS management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propagate proactive ideas and measures for establishing EHS Culture
- Responsible for the comprehensive administration of BU EHS Department and technical involvement of all Operation Segment Head for establishing the company EHS policy and cardinal rules.
- Coordination with all Country / cluster EHS and Factory EHS Manager to provide training, guidance, support and SOP- s
- Review of SOP for erection works in consultation with operations and review of SOP periodically for incorporating the learnings.
- Accountable to report the incident rate to the BU Head, Head Operations, EHS Head (PT&D IC Domestic), SBG Head.
- Involve in incident investigation of all serious incidents using proved incident investigation procedure and submit CAPA based on the investigation.
- Accountable for the preparation and implementation of HR training program, staff program for the business year.
- Review of weekly EHS progress report of their respective BU's.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Country EHSM/ CEHSOs for analyzing safety statistics and implementing corrective / preventive action.
- Conduct monthly EHS meeting with BUH / COH and provide updates on EHS implementation at sites.
- Approval of all EHS Statistics and Incident reports.
- Daily update regarding the safe working day to Head-Operations, SHs, EHS Head (PT&D IC Domestic).
- Review of EHS staff/ Safety steward mobilization based on the EHS Staff requirement and intimate requirement to EHS Head (PT&D IC Domestic) about staff requirement.
- To be part of interview panel along with EHS Head (PT&D IC Domestic) for recruitment of EHS staff.
- Ensuring of EHS staff non-compliance on the site at all cluster levels under their BU
- Responsible and accountable for coordinating with the tender department
- Identification & nomination of EHS Staff for sponsored courses in the BU
- Development of successors by ensuring a constant support
- Coordinate and Cooperate with the CMD, SCM department for assessing the vendors regarding their technical suitability of the PPE produced.
- Liaison with the clients, Customers and other Government bodies.
- Responsible and Accountable for EHS knowledge sharing and forward the EHS alert to all BU staff.
- Prepare and monitor the internal EHS Audit Schedule programs for all cluster projects and factories.
- Keeping BUH and EHS Head (PT&D IC Domestic) informed about the audit outcomes and taking corrective / proactive action for improving EHS culture at sites.
- Coordinate with other Business units and Departments to establish EHS management system and address the deviations.
- Motivate the cluster EHS management and site EHS Staff for better performance.
- Monitor and analyze the digital initiatives.
- International memberships from National Safety Council (NSC), Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Safety Engineering Association, (SEA), Loss prevention Association(LPA).
- Conduct site visits at periodic intervals and encourage SEHSMs / CEHSMs to conduct site visits.
- Take a holistic approach to EHS issues at sites and prepare comprehensive action plan for corrective / preventive action for improving EHS culture.
- Support tendering for preparation of Safety Plan.
- Review of availability of EHS Staff / safety stewards and ensure timely posting of EHS staff / Safety stewards.
Technical Expertise:
- Job specific Knowledge, Implementing and maintaining emergency preparedness and response procedures and BU specific technical knowledge.
- Knowledge on Auditing and Inspection of EHS requirements, ISO 14001:2015 and IS 45001:2018 Standards.
- Lead auditor certificate for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
