Position: Head-Engineering (Capital Equipment MNC Manufacturing Co)

Role :

- Capable of managing Engineering, Design, Project Management, Product Development, Cost Optimization and Indigenization

- Should be resourceful in managing product development, including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, design management, testing, field quality and vendor management

- Oversee the design, manufacturing, operation, application, installation and performance of the product

- Bring development in existing products as per feedback from Service & Production for improvement & cost reduction

- Prepare, monitor and achieve work plan / schedule of Engineering department for various projects

- Utilizing resources for various activities of Engineering department such as detail engineering, approvals, electrical and control equipment inspection and in-house machine testing

- Manage spares part, documentation of machines and projects, electrical and control equipment, testing & inspection

- To lead project idealization to execution for Plant and Equipment (batching & weighing, conveying, material processing etc.) for Sand Plants in Foundry and order plants in Metallurgy and Building Material Industry including detail engineering (plant design), procurement and inspection support, erection& commissioning support.

- Coordinating with various in-house departments, including Pre Sales Engineering (Proposal) and costing support to Sales department.

- Participate in vendor development for direct bought out items with Purchase

- Executing foundry projects, plant & equipment, metallurgy & building material from the stage of conceptualization till commissioning stage including idea generation & creation of road-map, project planning & monitoring deliverables.

- Support to planning dept to keep close track of project delivery related schedules to ensure meeting of deadline of project.

- Indigenization of import items, to reduce the cost.

- Check critical drawings and Technical specification of engineering items, for various projects.

- Standardization of project equipment.

- Perform budgeting & forecasting for entire Engineering department on the basis of annual growth plan of organization

- Interaction with Customer for technical discussion and design approval

- Support to service team while commissioning of project.

Requirements :

- BE/BTech (Mechanical Engineering) is a must. MTech (Mech) will be preferred.

- Minimum 18-20 years of experience in handling Engineering activities out of that min. 5-7 years as Head of Engineering function
