Head - Engineering Services - Rail/Metro Projects (20-30 yrs)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : Take complete responsibility for successful delivery of all projects / assignments
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical leadership and management of multi-disciplinary team of engineers
Oversee each project's life cycle from conception to completion, with an emphasis on technical soundness and resource efficiency
Provide technical direction for reports, design, supervision from definition phase through implementation.
Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
Ensure uniform quality of all deliverables across the organisation
- Identify skill gaps in the design team and implement effective solutions.
- Asses training needs of the technical team and coordinate with HR for appropriate training
- Contribute to business development opportunities where possible
- Provide technical inputs to the BD / Proposals team
- Monitor the progress of all Projects.
- Guide the team of Project Delivery Engineers and ensure successful completion of assignments
- Set up appropriate systems to ensure best in class quality of all deliverables across the organisation
Qualifications & Experience (minimum):
Degree in Engineering with 20 years experience in handling planning and execution of Rail / Metro projects and leading a team.
