Job Title: Head Logistics - GM band

Location: Gurgaon

Reports to: COO

Span of Control: 2-4

Job Purpose :

The role will require the incumbent to drive development and adoption of technology through multimodal logistics, to deliver faster report delivery to end customer and maintain high Customer Service level while generating efficiencies in the system.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Development and Adoption of Technology : Work with sales, finance, transportation and tech (IT) teams to identify the inefficiencies and scope out large high impact technology projects around automation with a futuristic approach. Plan and implement change management initiatives for adoption of technology.

- Build SLA/KPI/ MIS for Processes & Budget : Define and Implement SLAs/ SOPs/ KPIs and deploy technology solutions to improve productivity, service levels and optimize costs. Ensure daily/weekly performance reports are completed and communicated. Identify newer and better opportunities to control and minimize freight costs

- Manage Logistics operations : Provide day to day leadership and strategic directions to the regional logistics team to maintain high Customer Service levels across the business like timely and cost effective delivery of samples to respective labs as per desired service requirements

- Train and Develop Team : Train team on function best practices and develop them in line with the growth strategy of organization. Develop them to implement new technologies and projects for effective adoption by the vendors and end users.

- Exposure to warehouse management and replenishment processes.

What decisions can this position take Overall responsible for this program like Budget allocation, Vendor Selection, route planning, Commercial negotiations

- Customers effected - Internal / External Internal logistics team along with associated external logistics vendors

- Business/ Revenue handled 800 Cr
