Head - Manufacturing Excellence - FMCG (15-25 yrs)
This role is responsible for facilitation and implementation of continuous development of transformation roadmap and improvement initiatives encompassing all facets of manufacturing processes with the objective of bringing a positive approach to resolving a broad range of manufacturing and general management issues, which will include:
1.Manufacturing Excellence
- Ensure senior management is aligned in the deployment of Lean Manufacturing principles as mandated
- Provide resolution of a broad range of manufacturing and general management issues, which will include long-range strategic plan and annual operating plans, allocation of resources and achievement of the Company's overarching strategies and objectives
- Design and implement architecture for SOP-driven Manufacturing process
2.Performance improvement
- Design and create a framework for implementing industry-benchmarked tools and processes within Performance System that drive the maximum effect on improving Key Performance Indicators of manufacturing
- Develop and build an internal lean manufacturing organization while educating the concerned stakeholders during the process
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and lean management
- Integrate Operational Excellence to ensure cost, quality and deliver improvement strategies
- Drive valuable changes and manage multiple projects and large cross-functional teams
- Define and develop processes as per 8 pillars of TPM
3.Execution
- Develop and build an internal lean manufacturing organization.
- Work with SME to establish common processes, Standards, Procedures, Best Practices
- Establish common metrics, analytics and reporting
- Establish organization-wide auditing and reviewing mechanism designed for commercial, supply and support functions
- Training and Building capability on adherence to SOPs, implementing self-managed teams to monitor and improve existing performance parameter
- Lead continuous development of transformation roadmap and improvement initiatives encompassing all facets of manufacturing processes to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP), KPI & Goals
4.People
- Monitor the performance of the team on a continuous basis and give periodic feedback to them
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline
- Provide guidance and support to team members, where required
- Foster an environment of learning, excellence and team work across the function
- Expert knowledge of Lean/ WCM/ TPM/ Six Sigma
- Experience in leading transformation and improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of developing and executing annual operating & ManEx plans
