Job Summary (Roles & Responsibilities) :

- Planning of HT & LT Meter Reading

- Control and monitor team of Metering Engineers and vendors

- Replacement of old, defective and burnt meters on consumer application

- Replacement of faulty and inaccessible meters to improve billing efficiency

- Monitor onsite testing and lab testing of meters

- Plan and prepare specification of meters for purchase and installation

- Monitor and ensure pre-installation testing and sealing of meter.

- Meter reconciliation

- Introduce and define different meter reading codes.

- Introduce and ensure application of new technologies in meter installation/ meter reading/meter testing/meter sealing to reduce meter tampering, minimize power loss and facilitate accurate reading.

- Train Metering team and vendors on installation and sealing techniques as well as train them on new technologies.

- Maintain liaison and coordinate with other departments like Commercial, Vigilance/Loss Control Cell, Mains, O&M, Materials department for smooth functioning of departmental activities.

- All Metering / Testing executives shall report to him.

- Prepare, Monitor and Update MIS regularly.

Key Skills: JOB SPECIFICATION

- Age: 40+ Years

- Work Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years in Power Distribution Utility

Skills :

- Sound technical knowledge on HT & LT Meter

- Sound knowledge in detection of faulty meter, faulty reading, meter tampering

- Minimum 10 years experience in effectively handling team of metering engineers and team of vendors.

- Keep oneself updated on new techniques and modern technologies for the purpose of power loss control and billing efficiency.

- Understanding techno-commercial aspects of business.

- Knowledge in Electricity Acts and legal aspects and Metering Code.

- Good knowledge in MS Office.

QUALIFICATIONS :

- B.Tech(Electrical) from a reputed Engineering College/ University.

- MBA/PGDM (Operations/Energy Management) may be preferred.
