Head - Mining Operations (20-30 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial
a) Ensuring Cost as per AOP .
b) Formulating the Annual AOP Operating Plan.
c) Monitor ongoing performance of mine against AOP and prepare corrective actions if and as required
2. Operational
a) Control/direct mining operations, maintenance, technical services, land & CSR and other support services as required to achieve AOP
b) Finalizing annual operations plan.
c) Manage mining equipment operating mythology, utilization and availability including dragline, shovels, dumpers, dozers & drills.
d) Assign roles and responsibilities to subordinates and monitor ongoing performance.
e) Ensure that effective asset management processes are implemented and adhered to.
f) To ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved in a safe and cost effective manner on a sustainable basis for the business unit.
g) To effectively interact with various stakeholders (CHP, power plant, external government agencies etc) to ensure a smooth trouble free operation is maintained
h) To ensure effective management of environmental and social concerns in open pit operations.
i) To assist and participate in setting the overall strategic mining strategies for the mine site
j) Overall improvement through well integration within operations and maintenance function
k) Ensure timely and regular production and delivery at mine end without any interruption for power generation
l) Drive continuous improvement programs that steers the operation towards worlds best operating practices in safety and productivity.
3. Customer
a) To ensure proper quality & quantity of coal supply to power plant.
b) Liaison with DGMS, Coal Controller, Local administration, State pollution control board officials and Forest Department.
c) To ensure the resources for achieving OB & coal production.
d) Able to develop and execute the strategic vision/plan for the business unit.
e) Act as the custodian for innovation, technology and best practices at open pit mining level.
4. People
a) To establish proper interface between all departments for smooth functioning of mine and coal dispatch.
b) Coordinate with top management for employee welfare activities and concerns.
c) Able to work in a multicultural environment.
d) Transfer of knowledge management, identify improvement areas for people development and mentoring them for excellence
