Head of Procurement - Construction Industry (5-16 yrs)
Job Role Purpose :
Assist the "Head of Procurement" in sourcing, negotiation,procurement and contracting of Capital Assets, Raw Materials, Services etc. Monitor and coordinate the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations.
Job Role Description :
- Ensure compliance to procedures and build/improve the processes
- Sourcing materials, goods and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
- Adhere to purchasing process and optimise outputs
- Coordinate with Stores In Stores Vendors and other departments for overall improvement in throughput
- Propose innovative ways for reducing lead times
- Offer suggestions for cost reduction to meet Organisational objective
Essential Skills :
- Past experience in Construction industry must
- High level of personal drive
- Able to take a step back and look at the big picture (think in terms of process)
- Ability to deep-dive into details
- Good Communication skills
- Analytical, structured, persistent
- Good planner
- Effective negotiator
- Team Player
- Conversant with MS Office and SAP/ERP
