Duties & Responsibilities :

- Planning, Executing, Monitoring, Controlling, and Improving during development cycle.

- Risk assessment on technology implementation/development.

- Lead development and responsible for the developmental implementation of the technology roadmap.

- Leading the department hardware, software, mechanics development as well as certification and R&D project management.

- Coordination and control of all development projects (multi-project management) with milestone tracking up to series launch.

- Adhering to the product specification with defined timeline, project cost and target product cost during development.

- Creation of the technology roadmap in cooperation with the product manager, hardware and software team leader.

- Future-oriented design of the division organization, as well as standardization of the development processes for efficient workflows.

- Cross-site exchange of development managers within other group companies in order to exploit synergies.

- Technical and disciplinary responsibility of employees as well as their promotion and further development.

- Providing Technical solution for customer queries through product management or sales.

- Commitment for product costing by close interworking with Purchase / sourcing, production engineering and product management.

- Capable of sharing technical know-how to engineering team and internal functions for execution of customer orders on need basis.

- Train the team on technological know-how and monitor the progress.

- Knowledge upgradation of norms - IEC, ATEX, BIS, ISO etc.

- Lead the Cost reduction activity by redesigning the products based on market demand from product management.

- Product quality and reliability to be ensured and achieve the safety without any compromise.

- ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) focus

- EMS - Awareness and participating in EMS Programs/Initiatives by adhering to the instructions / operation control procedures.

Specialised Knowledge :

- Development for Low voltage switchgear and controlgear parts based on primary IEC norms both Ex and industrial.

- Installation equipment, control equipment, Power distribution panels, system solutions like Junction box, Terminal box, cable glands, control station, plug & sockets, limit switches, fuses, bus bars, DOL/star, contact blocks, actuators, relays, contactors, MCB, MCCB, RCBO etc.

- Added advantage if possess knowledge in LED Linear, floodlight and pendant lighting

- CAD Tools like Solidworks, Simulation, PDM, ECAD, etc and also ERP tool like SAP & NAV.

- DFMEA & PFMEA

- PDCA cycle of continuous improvement

- DFM and DFA

- VA/VE, PPAP, etc

- QFD, NPV, Scenario planning etc

- Six sigma, Lean, Kaizen
