Requirements:

- 18-22 year work-ex

- Engineering degree, degree in port operations or equivalent. Post-graduation in management will be preferred.

- Should have demonstrated ability to manage port operations or operations of a logistics company

- Should be a team leader with a strong focus on deliverables

- Highest level of professional and personal honesty, integrity and ethics

- Willingness to travel based on requirement of work

- Role would be based in Mumbai

Job Description:

- Supervise port operations across the port SPVs owned by the company

- Coordinate with the management teams at port SPVs to develop policy framework for port operations, resolve operations related issues, improve operating efficiency and ensure safety policies are followed and maintain good employee relations

- Coordinate liaising with customers and other port users including freight customers, shipping agents, customs, immigration, port authority and ships agents

- Ensure that vessel loading and discharge at all the port SPVs is being managed efficiently and as per stipulated procedures

- Ensure that safety standards are maintained at the port SPVs and that the port operatives are fully trained to do their jobs effectively and safely

- Ensure that staff at all port SPVs is being managed effectively and policies regarding staff matters are in place

- Make recommendations, wherever required, regarding hiring, discipline, performance rating and promotion of subordinates
