Overview :

Responsible for Plant / Site Maintenance which include all Plant machineries & equipment- s, Utilities, Peripherals & Statutory compliances with direct reporting to Value Stream Manager (for functional report of daily activities & achievement of Plant / Dept metrics) & dotted line reporting to DGM-PLE (for Technical guidance, Standardization, Spares Management & Statutory).

Core Responsibilities :

- Tracking, monitoring and improving the Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Maintenance covering, day to day break down maintenance, Preventive maintenance of Time based maintenance & Condition based maintenance, supporting for Productivity improvements, Promoting and implementing TPM activities, Kaizen activities, erection / commissioning of new / old equipment's.

- Axle Housing Value stream : consisting of Fabrication (Shot Blasting, Co2 welding of Manual, CNC, Robotic), machining (VMCs, HMCs, SPMs), Grinding ( Centerless, Angular wheel head), Painting etc,

- Component Manufacturing Value Stream consisting of Castings machining (VMCs, HMCs, VTLs, SPMs, Broaching, Grinding, Induction Hardening, Welding, Washing, Painting, Gear and Pinion cutting (CNC machine with Robotic Gantry line and Conventional machines). Heat treatment Shop consists of Sealed Quench Furnaces, Continuous Gas Carburising furnaces, tempering, Shot peening, Induction Harding machines. AWH Grinding, VTLs, Gear & Pinion Lappers & Testers. Phosphating line etc,

- Axle Assembly Value Stream : consisting of Drive Head assembly equipments (Assembly Stations, Electronic & Pneumatic Torquing Equipments, Special Purpose Checking devices) and conveyor line, test rigs. Axle Assy equipments, Surface treatment plant, Painting plant and dispatch equipments.

- Brake unit Value stream : consisting of Fabrication (Brake shoe Rolling, Welding), Broaching, Induction Hardening, Painting, Brake shoe Liner Riveting & liner grinding and Assembly etc,

- Utilities : Power 66KV/11KV/433V Substation and distribution system, Factory Lighting, Air Compressors, Water distribution system, RO / DM water plants, Coolant preparation & Recovery units, ETP STP, Compressor, Gen-set, Transformers, Breaker Panels & Distribution Panels / Switchgear

- Material Handling : Conveyors, Fork Truck (Battery, Diesel and also LPG Operated), Overhead Cranes, Dock Levelers, Canteen equipments etc,.

- Statutory Compliance: Prepare, submit & obtain Statutory clearances for Safety, Electrical, Environmental from relevant Government Departments. Work with related contractors as required. Renewals / Updates also to be done.

- MIS preparation : (as per checklist)

- Maintenance: Uptime, Cost, Spares Consumption / Critical List, CAPA, Planned activities for Equipment up-gradation to improve uptime, Top issues.

- Safety: Metrics, Audit outcome, key focus areas, Training plans.

- Deploy identified TPM, Lean Manufacturing practices as a part of our Production system.

- Responsible for handling multiple functions with management responsibility for a team/multiple teams and supervising, guiding, advising and assessing the performance of the team members

- Responsible for BIQ Implementation

- Responsible to Administer and implement OHSAS in your work area./ Dept.

- Safety

Responsible to integrate safety principles into work practices by enforcing safe operating system and ensure safety of people and Machineries.

- Identify unsafe working conditions and take-up the matter with CFT and ensure the unsafe working conditions are eliminated.

- Responsible for achieving Zero accidents in the department.

- Responsible for the safekeeping of computer hardware's and software and company documents/drawings

- Ensure to implement Environment standards as per ISO norms.

- Responsible for cost control/reduction of cost with respective to your areas/Mission 18/ or any new project introduced by management.

- System Adherence

- Ensure Product and Layer audit/Inspections are conducted as per plan

- Ensure Compliance to respective Drawing / Control Plan / Work instructions

- Adhere to applicable process as per ISO TS 16949 - QMS and ISO 14001 - EMS

- Ensure compliance to 5S at workstations

- Periodically review the processes or methods of operations to ensure there are no deviations without prior Approvals.

- Ensure updates of relevant details in Team Performance Board

Others :

- Review Departmental administrative matters and keep the records/MIS update.

- Undertake any other activities as entrusted by the Sr. Management Team.

- Judicially utilize the resources of the organization.

- Escalate by reporting the abnormalities and key issues including employee related to your immediate superior without any delay.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated Knowledge & Experience in the following :

- Hands on experience in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Maintenance (commissioning, debugging, improvements, - of PLC & CNC controlled Standard Machines, SPMs, Process plants, Robotics etc,).

- Basic Knowledge on Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical circuits.

- Basic Knowledge on Instrumentations, PC Based equipments.

- Basic Civil knowledge related to Equipment Foundations & Site Maintenance.

- TPM (or) Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Education/Certifications :

- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with relevant industrial experience.

- A minimum of 15 years experience in Plant Maintenance Function (preferably in Auto / Engg industry).
