Head - Procurement - Retail (10-15 yrs)
Job Responsibility:
- Start-up Central Procurement & Commercial function in the organization.
- Procurement- of capex item s related to new- Project- s/ Stores.
- Have to travel for vendor selection and factory visits for inspection of product & standards followed for production & travel for store visits & survey.
- Looking into purchase of major plant & machinery like chillers & freezers, kitchen/ food court equipment s; shopping trolleys, escalators, elevators, diesel generator sets, checkout counters, furniture fixtures, tiles, lights, bulk- purchase- of ready to use bought out items,office equipment s, visual merchandise like note counting machine; water cooler, carpets,chairs, tables, printing, signages, fa- ade work etc.
- Vendor Management on regular basis by analyzing, comparing different vendors & Selecting vendors wit h best quality, competitive rates.
- Project Management ensures timely deliverables Interaction with- Project- Finance for Budget related issues and Vendor account Reconciliation.
- Evaluating various kinds of MIS Reports & generating solution for increasing the Efficiency of system to enhance quality & reduction in cost.
- Reviewing/ monitoring the proper release of SAP PO till delivery & payments.
Successfully aligned business planning and financial processes with business- risk- management- activities.
- Cross-functional working with team for rolling of key strategies and developments.
- Import- of- products.
- Cost Saving.
- Hand on to the procurement for new properties.
- Control the commercial activities pertain to Capital expenditure for operational requirements.
- Led and implemented SAP for capital & revenue spend and automated ordering & central warehousing for key consumables for timely and effective deliveries
