Head - Production - FMCG (10-20 yrs)
The company is a young FMCG company and scaling up rapidly within and outside India. It is backed by reputed VC/ PE funds.
A Brief about the role :
- Planning day-to-day strategies, budgets, production schedules, along with resource allocation and machine loading for optimum output
- Engaged in minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with maximization of men, material & machine
- Appraising the prevalent production systems/ processes, identifying loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for alleviating them and documenting the same
- Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies/ contingency plans and ensuring that plans are aligned with production requirements
- Ensuring compliance with various quality and safety maintenance guidelines at all stages of various plant processes, to achieve cost reduction, waste reduction, curb pollution levels and better environment handling within the plant
- Leading and supporting any other assignments related to co-manufacturers/innovation commercialization
- Monitoring stock inventory at plant & warehouses to avoid over inventory and out of stock situation
- Administering cost of production per piece and to identify bottlenecks in process which increasing the production cost, monthly stock reconciliation and trend analysis of raw material and packing material utilization
- Developing initiative plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
- Assuring attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers- expectations
- Driving productivity & cash flow improvement agenda by engaging cross-functional teams and the co-man suppliers in identifying efficiency opportunities; delivering Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Minimum experience of 10 years in a food FMCG company
- Extensive experience of production management across a broad range of output
- Substantial knowledge of end-to-end multi-platform production with a level of technical understanding
- Proven experience of leading change and continuous improvement programs
- Possess strong leadership, organisation and advanced influencing skills
- Motivated team contributor with a sense of commitment to innovate operational efficiency, minimize risks and coordinate cross- functional and multi-functional processes to perform at all levels.
- Proficient in handling smooth running of production line.
- Well versed with Process Excellence, Operational & Business Excellence - TPM & Lean standards and procedures
- Skilled Decision Maker; Persuasive Motivator and Change Facilitator can blend with ease at all hierarchy levels and diverse backgrounds.
- An effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal-skills. Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
