Function : PEM Discipline Head- Static & Package

Role : Proposal Engineering Management for Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & Chemical Plants

Education- : Mechanical Engineering Graduate / Postgraduate

Professional Experience : 20+ years- experience

Key area of expertise :

- Familiarity with Indian and International Codes, Standards and Specifications

- Exposure to International Projects

- Familiarity with Cost Estimation Technique for static equipment

- Experience in Design & Engineering of static equipment and packages

- Engineering Budget estimates & Resource management

- Package cost optimization

- Exposure to Modularisation

Key relationships:

Internal to organization : Proposal & Estimation team (PECC), Supply Chain team (SCM), Engineering Centres, Construction Services, Quality assurance & Quality control.

External to organization : Clients / Customer, Licensors, PMC, Vendors, Contractors

Responsibilities:

Prime Responsibilities

- Support Head PEM for department functions

- Interact with Engineering, PECC, SCM, PEM static& Package team for various proposals

- Carry out various proposal reviews such as - Bid Technical Query Reviews, Critical Engineering document reviews etc. related to static and packages

- Participate and lead execution philosophy review (Modularization, Constructability review, Package scope finalization, ODC equipment execution etc.)

- Participate in various meetings, workshops such as meeting with Owner/ PMC, Plot Plan review, 3D Model review, Risk Review meetings etc.

- Generate value engineering ideas related to static equipment & Packages to optimize the cost meeting bid requirement

- Participate in Cold Eye Reviews and Proposal Quantity Review sessions

- Prepare cost estimation sheet based on In-house Database and Bench marking.

- Cost review & cost finalization based on vendor commercial offer and deviations

- Guide team for Parametric reviews, Utility guarantee document development

- Review proposal technical submission documents

- Guide / Coach Team members on technical issues

- Support department in recruitment, training, and other developmental activities.

- Ensure that the work is carried out as per company Quality and HSE policy

- Build strong cohesive teams that works together

- Focused approach for quantity optimization and cost optimization

- Continuous improvement in design tools, efficiencies, and overall quality of deliverables

- Update and create engineering policies and procedures as required to improve efficiencies and adjust to new markets
