Job Description :

Position Overview :

- As the Purchase Head, you will have a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential for our heavy fabrication operations. Your strategic vision and expertise in procurement within the heavy fabrication industry will be instrumental in maintaining the quality and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

- Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and regularly assess supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.

- Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to diversify the supplier base and optimize procurement costs.

- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

- Oversee inventory levels and ensure optimal stock of critical materials while minimizing excess inventory costs.

- Collaborate closely with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials and components meet stringent quality standards.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including import/export regulations, and maintain meticulous records.

- Manage the procurement department's budget, allocate resources efficiently, and exercise cost control measures.

- Conduct regular vendor audits and assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities, ethical practices, and performance.

- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions.

- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize disruptions.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree Engineering

- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong background in the heavy fabrication industry.

- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and supply chain optimization within the heavy fabrication sector.

- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

- Effective leadership and team management skills.

- Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated commitment to ethical and sustainable procurement practices.
