Job position: Head-Global Warehousing & Distribution

Educational Qualifications & Experience :

Preferably an engineering graduate with 2 yrs full time MBA/PGDBM in Logistics, Supply chain, Operations management, APICS or Supply Chain Certification

Experience :

- 12+ years experience in logistics related functions (required), preferably within a multinational pharmaceutical or engineering company.

- 10+ years managing internal or outsourced high volume warehousing and distribution from corporate or on-site distribution center (required)

- 8+ years experience with WMS and TMS systems and tertiary understanding of ERP, EDI and replenishment systems (required)

- 5+ years experience responsibility for budgeting and activity based costing - Statutory / regulatory knowledge - cGMP - Six Sigma certification preferred - Leadership with complex, cross functional projects including setting scope, reaching consensus, execution, and presenting results (required)

- Experience with MS Office Applications, including advanced knowledge of Excel, intermediate Access, SQL and PowerPoint - International experience preferred but not essential

Primary responsibilities :

- Works with Logistics Senior management to ensure effective support and deployment of new capabilities and enhancements in the area of warehousing & distribution. Drives improvements in processes & system through modifications and process reviews; identifies opportunities for improvement as per new business requirements for any gaps or new functionality.

- Opens new warehouses in various parts of the world as per requests of Group Cos.

- Implements Digital Transformation & advance SCM technologies across group companies

- Manages warehousing and distribution contracts; ensure quality delivery performance with cost consciousness and provide input and support within contract negotiations (Class1, Connecting service providers, Local Switching)

- Identify areas for cost reductions and implement strategies for cost reduction and containment. Review & rationalize existing processes, partner with Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution Operations teams to update SOPs and training materials; pilot & support execution of training to ensure successful implementation.

- Monitor conformance of practices against company policies and standard work procedures

- Evaluate warehousing and distribution related opportunities and design, create and implement solutions with established metrics to measure performance

- Should be familiar with the modern concepts of EDI, Bar code and RFID process for the material tracking and identification.

- Work to optimize warehouse and deployment schedules, carrier equipment, mode, lane costs, and customer on time delivery
