"Profile for Head for Software Engineer

Required for a MSME Engineering company on a fast growth path. Products to be independently handled include Remote monitoring system, RF communication, Communication based Train control, Brake interface unit, Train communication network (TCN VCU), Distributed Power Wagon control system (DPWCS), Train control Management system (TCMS), MVB,RADAR, GSM, Radio Signals and Power converters.

Educational qualification: Degree in Electronic Engineering

a) Experience: Minimum 12 years in design and manufacture for various products as above. At least 5 years as lead Engineer.

b) Should have Knowledge on 3 phase locomotive of WAG9/WAP7/WAP5 etc-

c) Expertise in writing control application using IsaGraf/CODEsys/STRATON( an IEC61131 standard software and in C, C++.

d) Experience working with a safety related subset of C e.g. MISRA C

e) Experience of executing multiple projects and multiple teams.

f) Working knowledge of requirements to meet various national & international standards (IS/IEC/EN) such IEC 60571, EN 50155,IEC61375, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-4, IEC & 61000-4-5.

g) Linkage between the rolling stock business Unit and Engineering centre India.

h) Technical/Engineering project manager shall drive and be accountable for all engineering activities around rolling projects such as planning, coordination, defining scope/work packages.

i) Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to triage and resolve complex software issues, working seamlessly with other engineers on problem investigation will be essential.

j) Previous experience in LINUX OS, Embedded OS or RTOS will be preferred.

k) Drivers Knowledge and development experience CAN based protocols,I2C,SPI, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus,MVB & TDRP.

l) Good working knowledge of Matlab Simulink and Work experience on Vx works Platform and FPGA would be an added advantage.

m) Writing and/or running test protocols.

n) Experience on Code composure studio, E2E studio, Code warrior IDE, IAR's IDE and Keil IDE

o) Front-End Programming Languages and Frameworks

p) Back-End Programming Languages and Frameworks. 

q) User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) .

r) Capable of developing a software internal test plans for various modules.

s) Candidates in experience in developing systems & sub-systems requirements analysis

t) Design and develop real time embedded machine control solutions for railway maintenance equipment including graphical user interfaces and machine I/O.

u) Apply communication and problem-solving skills to solve software issues related to the design, development, deployment, testing, and operation of systems as a team lead individual contributor both individually and within a dynamic team environment

v) Ability to test, debug, and integrate on embedded systems

w) Ability to read hardware schematics and troubleshoot using Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers

x) Experience working with state machines and management of embedded devices

y) Designing and implementing control algorithms is a critical skill for managing system behaviour and achieving desired outcomes.

z) Proficiency in both Spoken and written English.
